There's no denying the buzz food gardening is generating in Calgary. Nothing is more rewarding, or more delicious, than growing your own food. And now that work has been completed on the Conservatory, and the new landscaping in the Dorothy Harvie Gardens is taking place, we can finally add our own buzz to the mix.
Many people hesitate to integrate edibles into an existing landscape, especially one that is valued for its decorative, ornamental value, but that’s just what we are going to do. Watch as our vegetable sampler garden comes to life and join our hands-on evening lectures, carefully designed so you can follow along at home. Visit our gardens to see how edible plants can be integrated into formal planting beds, and into containers, then check out the Conservatory where we will shine the spotlight on edible plants from around the world. Master Gardeners will host weekly demonstrations so you learn more with each visit.
We aim to turn everyone’s thumbs green, no matter how new you are to food gardening. Join us on our journey into the Garden of Eatin’ – pun intended!!
